J. KATHERINE SCOTT is an associate attorney at Mignanelli & Associates, Ltd. Ms. Scott graduated summa cum laude receiving a B.S. degree from Fort Hays State University, in Hays, Kansas, before receiving her J.D. degree from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1989. Ms. Scott is admitted to practice law in California, New York and Rhode Island, as well as in the U.S. District Courts for the Central, Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of California and the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Ms. Scott primarily practices in the areas of estate planning, including the preparation of wills, trusts, powers of attorney and other estate planning documents, as well as estate settlement and guardianships. In addition, Ms. Scott frequently lectures on various topics concerning estate planning and estate settlement. She is also a member of the Rhode Island Estate Planning Council.
